What's included in your hike?
Our vision is to give you an all-inclusive package.

You should not have any additional expenses during the trip, unless we stop along the drive for souvenirs.
Tipping your guide if you had a good experience is appreciated but not mandatory!

Fill out the questionnaire
Make sure that you filled out the questionnaire while booking, this will provide important information for us to deliver the best experience to you.If you missed it, find one here.
Do a gear check
Make sure you have the items in the packing list below, especially comfortable shoes. Brand new shoes can often give blisters, so if purchasing new shoes or boots, make sure to break them in first.
Fill out the online waiver
You will receive an email to fill out an online waiver. Make sure you do so before the start of the trip!
Familiarize yourself with the trail
This is optional, however it’s fun to check out the view points and course ahead of time!
Common apps to find and track hikes are AllTrails and FatMaps, and Strava for strictly tracking the hike. All of these have free versions and you should not need to pay to use the features.
You will receive additional instructions and communication for pick-up a few days before your trip.
Ensure you have any medications you will might (pills, EpiPens);
Make sure your phone is fully charged;
Check the weather and select your outfit accordingly. Wear layers and bring a rain jacket or windbreaker if rain is in the forecast.

Frequently asked questions
1 / What types of hiking tours do you offer?
We offer day hikes ranging from half day to 14+ hour tours, ranging in distance from Vancouver and in difficulty.
We classify them as Classic, Scenic/Epic Views, One-way (you take a gondola down), and Epic Grinds.

2 / How difficult are your hiking tours?
We have 4 levels of hikes: easy, moderate, difficult and extreme. You can find more information on this page.

All of the hikes will require a basic fitness ability. For anything moderate and beyond, you should be to hike up multiple flights of stairs and be on your feet walking for a minimum of 5 hours.

Keep in mind these are guidelines in place to ensure you and everyone in the group have a positive experience. You should only join any of tours if you enjoy working up a sweat!
3 / Do you provide transportation to the hiking trailheads?
Yes, our pick-up location is at Canada Place, or if you are in Downtown Vancouver, you can be picked at at your hotel or residence.
4 / Are your hiking tours guided?
Yes, our tours are fully guided by a trained professional.
5 / Can I join a hiking tour alone, or do I need to come with a group?
The only tour that has a minimum booking policy is Joffre Lakes, all other tours can be booked by a solo traveller. Depending on the number of registrations, you may be grouped with others, or have the tour all to yourself!
6 / How should I prepare physically for a hiking tour?
Please read the descriptions here, and ensure you are able to meet those fitness demands. Think to yourself, does this sound fun to me? If you are unsure, please contact us. We can let you know what would be required, and potentially make accommodations or select a different custom excursion.
7 / What if I have dietary restrictions?
Upon booking, you will be asked to fill out a short questionnaire where there will be a question about dietary restrictions.
8 / What is the best time of year for hiking in British Columbia?
May to September/October is the best time of year. There may still be snow at some peaks in May and June, however the days are mostly sunny throughout this period.
9 / How do you ensure safety on your hiking tours?
We have safety measures in place and emergency protocols. Guides are trained with Red Cross Emergency First Aid, and a complete Advanced Wilderness First Aid Certification through Coast Wilderness.
10 / Are your hiking tours suitable for families with children?
We will only accept young children on hikes marked as Easy. Older children and teenagers will be accepted on Moderate and Difficult hikes.
11 / ​What is the average group size for your hiking tours?
The maximum group size is 4 participants, plus the guide.
12 / Do you offer discounts for group bookings?
We offer discounted prices when booking two people in, or a private tour with up to four people. Please contact us for inquiries that do not fit this.
13 / What if the date I want isn’t free?
Feel free to contact us, however it is likely that there is already a tour booked on this day. We can only run one tour per day with our staff.
14 / Will we see bears?
It is unlikely that we will see a bear. If we do, rest assured that we have the right preventative equipment and training to keep everyone safe!
15 / Why do I need medical or travel insurance?
In the unlikely event that you suffer illness or injury on the trip, we want to make sure that you can be submitted to a medical facility or urgent care without any financial burden to you or us.
16 / What if it's raining?
These hikes will go on rain or shine! That being said, with 48 hours notice it may be possible to reschedule the adventure to a different day, based on availability.
